Answers to the most common questions about archiAuditor. For pre-purchase questions, see the FAQ on the product page.
Does archiAuditor change my model?
No. It reads the model and highlights what it finds. Nothing is modified, moved, renamed, or deleted. The only things it changes are the current selection and, when you zoom to a result, the active story.
Can it fix the problems it finds?
Not in this version. archiAuditor is detection only: it selects and zooms so you can fix things with Archicad's own tools. Batch correction is not part of version 1.
Why is nothing dimmed when I run an audit?
Dimming the elements that passed is an Archicad 29 and 30 capability. On Archicad 27 and 28 the failing elements are still highlighted in their audit colour, but the rest of the model stays at normal brightness.
Can I run more than one audit at a time?
Yes: tick as many as you like and press Run once. Results are grouped per audit and each audit highlights in its own colour, so you can tell overlapping results apart.
What happens if an element fails two audits?
It appears once under each audit that it failed. In the model it takes the colour of one of them, so use the table rather than the colour when an element is failing several checks at once.
Do results update as I edit the model?
No: the results are a snapshot of the moment you pressed Run. Run again after making changes to confirm a fix.
How do I share audits with my team?
Group them into an Audit Set and export it as a JSON file, or point archiAuditor at a shared folder on the office server so everyone loads the same sets from one place.
Can I audit on my own properties?
Yes. Custom audits can test Archicad properties and GDL parameters as well as built-in fields, which is how you reach template-specific data like a fire rating or a cost code.
Is there a macOS version?
Yes. archiAuditor runs on macOS 14 or later, on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, for Archicad 27, 28, 29, and 30. It is the same add-on as on Windows, with the same audits, and one subscription covers both. On a Mac, download the DMG for your Archicad version from your account and run the installer inside it.
Is the interface available in other languages?
English only at the moment.
Is there a free trial?
Yes: a free 7-day trial of the full add-on, one per account and per computer. Download it from your account, sign in from inside Archicad, and the trial starts when you link it.
