Answers to the most common questions about archiTweaks. For pre-purchase questions, see the FAQ on the product page.
Does hiding a view delete it?
No. Hiding only removes the view from the archiTweaks palette: your actual Archicad View Map is untouched. Click the eye icon again to bring a hidden view back.
Are my hidden/visible settings saved with the project?
Yes: visibility settings persist per project, so each team member who opens the file sees the same filtered tree.
Can I place multiple views onto a Layout at once?
No: Place operates on one view at a time. For batch placement of many drawings, use the Layout Generator or Archicad's built-in Drawing Manager.
Re-link: does it preserve my drawing's cropping and scale?
Yes. Re-link only swaps the source view: cropping, scale, title, and position on the Layout stay exactly as they were. Useful for swapping a development-stage drawing with its final version without reformatting. To remap many layouts at once, use Bulk Relink.
Why don't I see a view I know exists in my project?
Most likely it's hidden by the current palette filter. Click Show All to reveal every view, then re-hide selectively. If a view still doesn't appear, check Archicad's own View Map: it may have been moved into a folder structure the palette is filtering out.
Does archiTweaks work with cloned folders?
Yes. You can hide individual views inside cloned folders without hiding the folder itself: giving fine-grained control over what each phase of your team sees.
Can I use Search across folder names, not just view names?
Yes: Search matches both folder and view names. Type part of a folder name and all its visible views surface.
Does the palette affect publishing?
No. The archiViewMap palette is a working-palette tool, not a publishing tool. Your Publisher Sets are unaffected by which views are visible in the palette.
Can I reset all hidden views?
Yes: Show All reveals every folder and view in one click. Use Hide All for the opposite reset when you want to start filtering from scratch.
