1. Open archiTransfer
Design > Architools > archiTransfer. The main palette shows your Layer Assignment Rules list with Add, Edit, Delete, Save, Load, Apply Rules, and Preview buttons.
2. Add a rule
Click Add New Rule. Set the Element Type (Wall, Column, Slab, Object, etc.), a Renovation filter if relevant, and one or more Criteria that narrow the match (e.g. thickness < 0.20).
3. Choose the target
Every rule does one of four things to matched elements:
- Target Layer: move matched elements to a specific layer
- Target Favorite: apply a Favorite (brings all settings and attributes at once)
- Target Property: set a property value on matched elements
- Target Classification: assign a classification from the Archicad tree
4. Preview
Click Preview. The matched elements are highlighted blue in 2D and 3D so you can verify the rule caught the right things before committing.
5. Apply
When the preview looks right, click Apply Rules. Use Save to store the rule set for future projects with similar needs.
