This walkthrough assumes archiVisora is installed and you are signed in with enough credits to generate an image. New accounts receive a small welcome credit allowance to try the workflow.
Installing on Rhino 8 (Windows)
archiVisora is available for Rhino 8 on Windows through the Rhino Package Manager. In Rhino, run _PackageManager, search for ArchiVisora, and click Install: it updates automatically (a manual-install download is also available). It's the same product as the Archicad add-on: it embeds the same render.architools.net engine and uses your existing ArchiTools account, subscription, and credits. On Archicad, install the add-on from the product page; a SketchUp extension is also available; a Revit 2026 plugin is coming soon.
1. Open the Visora palette
In Archicad, open the palette from Design > Architools > archiVisora. In Rhino, run the archiVisora command to dock the palette. In SketchUp, open it from the Extensions menu. Revit support is coming soon.
2. Capture your view
Set up a 3D view of your model the way you want the AI to see it, then click Capture View in the palette. The capture appears in the thumbnail gallery at the bottom of the palette.
3. Choose a style
Open Style Settings to pick a Drawing Type (render, sketch, 3D print, etc.), Style (photoreal, watercolor, diagrammatic...), Time of day, Season, Sky conditions, and Material hints. Settings are remembered between runs.
4. Prompt and generate
Type a short Prompt describing what you want emphasized or changed, then click Generate. A result lands in the gallery within seconds.
5. Compare and place
Use Compare to see the generated image side by side with the original capture. When you are happy with a result, click Place on Layout (Archicad only) to drop it directly into a Layout as a drawing or image.
Tip: guide the AI with a sketch
Open Sketch over your captured view, draw lines for trees, people, or mood annotations, then regenerate. The AI respects your sketch as a guide. You can also start from a blank canvas with shapes and generate a rough idea from scratch.
