    Deep Space

Use a 3D scan of the real site as the render backdrop, and clear what you are replacing.

Deep Space uses a 3D scan of the site, a gaussian splat, as the backdrop for a render. Where Site Context places the model on map data, Deep Space places it inside a capture of the actual place, which is the difference between a plausible setting and the real one.

    Clearing the existing building

Add an erase box and any splats inside it disappear from the capture. That is how you remove the building currently on the plot so your proposal can stand in its place.

    Placing your model

Export the current Archicad 3D view and place it in the scan. Model lighting follows a sun position you set by time of day; the scan itself is unaffected, since it carries the light it was captured in.

    Camera and orientation

    • Lens focal length: 24mm wide, 35mm natural, 85mm tele
    • Flip the scene if it loads upside down, which some scans do when exported Y-down
    • Describe the location to feed the render prompt, for example a hillside plot above a lake
    • Capture the view to use it as the Generate source

    Requirements

Deep Space renders the scan on the GPU and needs a device with WebGL2. Closing a scan frees that GPU memory, which is worth doing before loading another large capture. It is included with any archiVisora plan.
